Platform Changes

• Rolling Releases: StrategyOne now uses a rolling release system. With this release method, instead of creating large updates involving all software components all at once, we make many continuous updates only on specific components. The updates are ongoing, so they often are smaller and do not have a global version number attached to them (the previous “Service Pack” version). The advantage to this method is that updates come out much faster, and they typically are easier for customers to handle.
  Also, the tag names of the Docker images have changed from the past. Now every image has three tags:
  • the latest version of the commercial major/minor label (e.g. 7.1-latest)
  • the version of the release (e.g. 7.1.16.R)
  • the version of the specific component (e.g. 7.1.24.V)

You can use the latest tag to keep StrategyOne always updated to its latest version, or you can choose to manually handle updates to every components with the “release” or “version” specific tags.
